James "Jim" Richard Cadwallader, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Court House Manor. He was born on Nov. 21, 1937, in Highland County to the late James Nelson and Blanche (Gall) Cadwallader. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and lived most of his life in the Hillsboro area. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked the last 20-plus years of his career at Irwin Auger Bit Company in Wilmington. He was a faithful member at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon for several years. Jim was a devoted Christian and had such a dear soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed square-dancing, cooking, traveling, and reading his Bible. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Cadwallader, and his first wife and the mother of his son, Linda Lou Cadwallader.
