Karen Sue Ward, age 62, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 2, 2025 after a short illness. She was born the daughter of the late Ervin D. Ward Sr. and Catherine Mabel (Stinson) Thompson on February 26, 1963 in Virginia.
Karen loved working with her team at Walmart. She was a very hard worker, her team is missing her dearly. Karen enjoyed gardening and cooking. She also liked to bake, especially her mother's recipes from her famous potato candy to her no-bake cookies. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Karen absolutely adored her grandchildren. She loved to be outside soaking up the sun and playing with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing at the lake. Karen's life was filled with the one true thing that really matters Love! She loved her family and friends. She was truly a kind genuine human being.
