D. Sue Johnson, age 63 of Hillsboro, passed away early Friday morning February 21, 2025 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born October 13, 1961 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Henry and Loretta (Goins) Nickley. She is survived by her children, Nicole (James) and Rick; several grandchildren; siblings Robbie, Jack, Geri, Bobbie and Brenda; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Boyd "Buster" Johnson, who passed away December 7, 2021. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
